Matt Perrins - 5th degree Black Belt - Karate
- 5th degree Black Belt - Kickboxing
Starting in the martial arts at the age of 13 in 1985. I set 2 main goals. To become a World Champion in Kickboxing by the age of 25, and to instruct martial arts as a profession. It took me until the age of 28, to win my first World Championship, and I have owned and operated a successful martial arts school since 1996.
Learning the value of goal setting, building confidence, developing discipline and respect have been invaluable in my life. My only wish is to help others to accomplish their goals through the many benefits of training in the martial arts.

Sue Smiley - 2nd degree Black Belt
I have been a student at Family Martial Arts since 1999, prior to that I was the "mom" who brought her kids to karate and watched from the lobby until one day I crossed the threshold into the dojo and the rest is history! I like the system of belts to progress in this sport, having goals are important to achieve your dreams. I use the training for the purpose of improving my mind, body and spirit. It teaches life lessons. You can do it too! You have to just believe in your self and take the first step. |
